The Canadian Red Cross is in the process of recruiting for various profiles for our Emergency Response Unit (ERU). These units are a key disaster response tool for the International Federation. ERU members are deployed at short notice within 48 hours to assist other National Societies in the field. These assignments are normally from four to six weeks but could last up to four months. Multiple languages such as Spanish, French, and Portuguese are an asset.

The center (Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi) in San Juan de Miraflores has different tools to record the services provided to teenagers and young men and women on: guidance in job search, vocational orientation and small business start-up. However these tools need to be integrated into one system in order to track the journey of the user more efficiently. An existing database is already in place, but it needs to be improved so that CJE can serve better the center needs.

The center (CJE) in San Juan de Miraflores carries out several training processes linked to the three services offered: job-search guidance, vocational orientation, and entrepreneurship training. These processes require weekly training sessions in the center (CJE) itself and also in schools of the area in order to educate students about the benefits of the services.
